Valentine's Inspired

Currently sitting here on my donut pillow (IYKYK). Amazing how you don’t remember all the pain you went through the first time giving birth that you are able to do it again. Women are so strong and resilient. Being patient with myself during this season of life and healing has been my focus and while I’m on the mend, I thought I’d share some cute pieces I’ve been eyeing for both me and the little girlies with Valentine’s Day on the horizon!

Tuscan Pesto Tortellini

We didn’t have much in the pantry to work with except some cherry tomatoes about to go bad, tortellini and jarred pesto from Trader Joes. We always have chicken broth and some heavy cream on hand, which come in as MVP quite often for sauces. See below for ingredients (you hopefully have on hand!) and recipe. Whipped this one up in 15min and it was a keeper!

What's In My Hospital Bag

There are a bunch of lists that exist out there and everyone has their own preference in terms of what is necessary to bring to the hospital for delivery. Our hospital provides mostly everything needed in the first days with the new baby included diapers, formula and post-natal products. In fact, we took a bunch home with us and stock piled!

Chicken with Lemon Orzo

I adapted this recipe from Damn Delicious blog with a couple of tweaks. Double the recipe if you’re making for 4-6 with a bit of leftovers! The orzo takes on almost a risotto texture and it’s so good. You can cook the chicken ahead and chop ahead as well for an easy weeknight meal.

Shopbop's Black Friday Sale!

Feel like we all wait for Shop Bop to drop their sale and when the moment happens we rush quickly to purchase - always forgetting what it is we actually really need or have had our eyes on!

I’ve rounded up some of my favorites at the bottom - hope this helps your shop game!

Gallery Wall Hack

I wanted the wall to look cohesive but not expected. Maintaining the symmetry and same sized frames is classic and clean but adding the different sized mattes in the frames gave it some edge. I love a small photo with a large matte. Very minimalist.
